Dutch as a second language (NT2) – Individual (11 weeks) online

For whom?

For anyone using Dutch in a business context. This training course is suitable for all levels. We do an intake beforehand to gauge your level.

Goals: We work on bridging the fluency gap. For example, say you were in a meeting and you wanted to suggest something but haven’t mastered Dutch well enough to explain your idea fully, which of course is a real shame! This training helps you to communicate more fluently and confidently in Dutch.

What can you expect?

This individual Dutch (NT2) course will help you communicate more fluently and confidently in Dutch in 11 weeks. This course focuses on using the language in business situations.

As an expat or foreign speaker in the Netherlands, learning Dutch is a valuable investment. You will feel at home more quickly and communicate more easily with Dutch colleagues. In this Dutch for non-native speakers (NT2) course, you will learn the language using our online platform. The course consists of various business topics that deal with everyday life and communication in the workplace, including relevant grammar and vocabulary. There is a strong focus on learning applicable and practical language skills that you can put to immediate use.

This course combines two forms of learning.

• Lessons with a trainer: you attend the lessons in a group with other students. The lessons take place via the virtual classroom or on location (upon request and at additional cost).
• E-learning: varied assignments on our online platform, at your own pace.

Program

The course consists of various topics that address everyday life and communication in the workplace, including relevant grammar and vocabulary. Practice-oriented exercises are central.
What can you expect from this 11-week course?
Workload indication: 3 to 3.5 hours per week.

• 1 hour kick-off session
• 20 hours (10x2 hours) (virtual) sessions one-on-one with a trainer
• E-learning
• Extended post-course (after the training course, 6 months access to the platform including additional exercises and webinars)
• Level-based final test
• Certificate

Skills covered: listening, reading
To a lesser extent: speaking skills (though this is done in the virtual classroom)
Not covered: writing

Additional information

We coordinate the online lessons based on the intake levels. In doing so, we try to take into account as much as possible the availability information indicated by the course participants in the intakes. Generally, training sessions take place during office hours.
